Civitavecchia Cruise Ship Port

Jerry was up early this morning. We went to breakfast on the rooftop terrace again and then went back to the room to get the rest of our things ready for checkout and catching our ride to the Civitavecchia Port at 9am.

Jerry saw that some of the others were congregating down below at the hotel entrance so he thought we should head down. We got there 15 minutes early and the driver showed up after about 45 minutes. He didn't have much room left so not all of us could go in that van. Jerry and I stayed behind to wait for the next one. He also didn't have room for all the bags so we kept some with us. The next van came along about 10 minutes later. This one wasn't full so we did the right thing by countrysidewaiting. We were very comfortable for the 1 1/2 hour trip to the port. Everyone said it was 1 1/2 hour trip but we made it in good time. It didn't take us that long and there was some pretty countryside on our way to the port.

As soon as we got out of the van and the bags were unloaded the porters took our bags that were to be checked and we headed inside to do our paperwork and get checked in. We didn't sit down for five minutes before they called our number and we made our way to show our passports and get our key. The agent said we would sit in the waiting area and wait for our number to be called. We didn't even sit down here but was right in line to get our embarkation picture taken and made our way to the ship.

Here's our pictures.
