Our Hawaii Trip - Maui Day Three

Jerry, Toby and I took off this morning to first of all find Kapalua Beach, the beach where Kimberly and Blake will be married then we decided to explore the part of the island we didn't get to explore the last time we were here. It is pretty windy today so as you can see in the photo above the waves were pretty rough.

We left the condo about 8:30am and didn't back around to this side until about noon. We had the top down on the Mustang, I sat in the back so I could take the pictures while Jerry drove.

Maui Map

Click the map of Maui to see what area we were exploring today. We are staying on the northwest edge and drove further north. The smaller area of Maui is what we drove completely around today.

There are parts of this area that you are up in the mountain and you have a one lane road to drive on. There are some spots if you meet someone coming frm the opposite direction you have to find a place and scoot over so they can inch by you.

When we got back to the condo Toby and I set off for the beach and then back home again to get ready for the wedding.

We saw quite a few "Falling Rocks" signs and did find some too
Bellstone it is said that when hit with a rock in a certain spot one will hear a metallic clink
We kept hearing about Julia's Best Banana Bread on the Planet and we found it. It sure was good and so was the dried mango we picked up while there
