Maui 1998 Day 1 - Aston Wailea Resort |
|
Jerry and I had started planning our Maui trip after the first of the year. We had been bought off our flight to Miami in November so our air fare ended up being $50/person round trip to Maui. We each did a lot of research via the Internet and had our itinerary planned out in depth.
We flew out of DFW early in the morning and had a direct flight into Honolulu. From there we boarded a smaller plane to take us on to Kahului Airport, Maui.
I had never been to Hawaii but it had always been a dream of mine. Jerry had been before but not to Maui so we couldn't wait to start exploring the island.
We rented a red Jeep Wrangler once we retrieved our luggage and then made our way to our resort. We were staying at the Aston Wailea Resort on the south end of the island.
