Sabrina

On Saturday, March 20, 2004, we had a baby shower for Sabrina. She is due to bless us with another grandson within weeks. He will be named Adam Jr. As the day gets closer we get more and more excited.

We didn't pick a good date for everyone so it was a pretty initmate group that was gathered, those included my friend, Lori who was kind enough to help me out. (This was always something Rona did and I helped her out so with us missing Rona I had to do some thinking on who could help me and the first person I thought of was Lori. She is wonderful at planning and has great ideas. She needs to be doing this for a living!!!) Sorry, I kind of got off track. We also had Kathleen, Sabrina's best friend, her son, Ostin, and two of Sabrina's step-sisters, Christie and Diana.

We had a good time visiting and of course eating the munchies that were laid out on the bar. We started off our games with the "Diaper Game", which consisted of six diapers with candy bars mashed up inside. Each person had to try to guess what each candy bar was in the diaper. Christie showed us all that she knew her candy bars, even past the baby powder scented diapers! Christie's prize was a candle with a bunny one top.

The second game was the "Baby Food Game", which consisted of six different kinds of baby food to guess. You could take a guess by sight, smell or by taste. There was only a couple that they decided needed a taste test to figure it out. When the taste test was finished, Christie showed us all she also knew her baby food. Christie's next prize was an Easter candy dish.

Our third and last game was tearing off how much toilet paper we thought would fit around Sabrina's waist. Lori took the prize this time around and took home an Easter candy dish also.

After the games were finished, Sabrina opened her gifts with Ostin's help. She ended up with two high chairs, a swing, diapers, wipes and some clothes.

After the gifts were opened Sabrina cut the cake and Diana served it. The cake was from Candy Haven in Denton. It looked like a present and was a white cake. Everyone enjoyed the cake.
