Crawfish Boil

On Saturday, May 01, 2004, we had a crawfish boil. We invited our family and friends. The day was a cool 50 degrees Fahrenheit and rainy so we set up everything in the garage.

Jerry went down to North Dallas to pick up the two sacks of crawfish totaling 60 pounds while I waited for Enrique to deliver the Margarita machine. It was late getting here but we ended up just fine. Jerry was back by then and helped Enrique come up with all the liquor for our Margaritas.

Jerry started to purge the crawfish while I got the cooker started. We did get the first of them out of the cooker by 1pm as we had hoped to do. I cooked for the next couple of hours the remaining crawfish, shrimp, smoked sausage, red pototoes, mushrooms, corn on the cob and carrots.

I guess we had close to 30 people here to share the food and drink and have a good time. We're all looking forward to doing it again next spring.
